We couldn’t miss Arthur Jafa’s first exhibition with Sadie Coles, so we sent photographer Saffron McLeod to capture the crowd

It’s been a landmark week for Sadie Coles HQ. Coinciding with Frieze London, the gallery is opening a new space on Savile Row, and presented Arthur Jafa’s first exhibition with the gallery, ‘GLAS NEGUS SUPREME’. At Plaster, we’re big fans of both Sadie Coles (our latest Give me a break guest) and Arthur Jafa (who featured in our series The Book Voucher). Jafa’s latest show is a hypnotic tribute: a levitating James Brown, an immortal loop of the electrifying Prince on stage, and a haunting video of Peter Townshend’s quivering lip – it’s a show that you won’t want to miss. Naturally, we had to send someone down to capture the crowd, who turned up in full force for the opening last Friday. Saffron McLeod was on hand with a trusty steed (35mm). Were you snapped?
'GLAS NEGUS SUPREME' is on view at Sadie Coles HQ until 20th December 2025.
