Perhaps the best dressed queue Soho has ever seen? We think so.
Not many can pull a 7 am queue in the rain — but Fakemink isn’t just anyone. The London ‘underground rap hero’ and current The Face cover star took over the Plaster Store for a one-day-only pop-up ahead of his first headline show in the city, which sold out in a matter of minutes.
Hundreds lined the block, braving Soho drizzle and a range of foul odours that haunt its streets for the chance to get hold of the last few tickets and signature Etna Vera Vela (that’s his brand) garms. One fan called him “the pioneer of the underground rap scene,” while another gave us this survival tip: “The number one thing you need out here? Noseplugs.”
We sent David Spence out to document the scene: a steezily dressed crowd of Gen Z die-hard fans clutching rare Labubu’s. Were you snapped?
