Cheryl Dunn is nothing short of an icon, and at Plaster we’ve long admired not only her razor-sharp photography, as well as her documentary work – with Cheryl even shooting Karimah Ashadu and Shirin Neshat. Her tender, unflinching portrait of Dash Snow – featuring her own intimate footage of the downtown legend in the early 2000s – remains essential viewing: raw, personal and impossible to look away from.
So there was no question we’d be front row for the sold-out screening and Q&A with Dunn at DoBeDo’s Grace’s Mews outpost in Camberwell. Fans gathered to revisit Snow’s mythos through Dunn’s singular lens, the evening also marked the launch of her new zine, Ring Card Girls. Were you papped?
