Anne Hardy

b. 1970

British artist Anne Hardy was born in 1970. She graduated from Cheltenham School of Art in 1993 with a degree in painting before completing her MA in photography at the Royal College of Art in 2000. She currently lives and works in London.

Hardy’s practice spans photography, sculptural installation and audio. She is best known for her photography and large-scale sculptural installations, FIELDWORKS, which combine physical materials with light and sound to create immersive and sensual environments.

Hardy’s works are housed in the public collections of Tate, Victoria and Albert Museum, British Council, Arts Council Collection and Leeds Art Gallery. She has held artist residencies at Chinati Foundation, Marfa in 2022; Camden Arts Centre, London in 2011 and Live in the Studio at Modern Art Oxford in 2014.
