Arlette

Mexico City-based artist Arlette is known for leather, silver, steel, and basalt in paintings, sculptures, and wearable artworks, including belt buckles and trucker caps. Her artworks draw on her rural upbringing and popular Y2K fashion to explore gender, religion, and nostalgia. The Mexican artist graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2022 with a BA in Fine Art. Since then, she has created wearable artworks for musicians Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott, with the latter wearing a bespoke belt buckle on the cover of his album UTOPIA (2023).

Her first solo exhibition, ‘José’, was held at Rose Easton, London, in 2023.
