Gabriella Boyd

b. 1988

Born in Glasgow, Gabriella Boyd currently lives and works in London. She studied at Glasgow School of Art (2007 – 2011) and Royal Academy Schools in London (2014 – 2017). Her works, which mainly consist of oil paintings on canvas, centre around the merging of private and public spaces. In her paintings, Boyd infuses loosely figurative scenes with powerful luminescence.

Her work is housed in permanent collections at AkzoNobel Art Foundation, Netherlands; Arts Council Collection, London; Columbus Museum of Art, US; De Young Museum, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, US; He Art Museum, China; Long Museum, China; The Rachofsky Collection, US; Royal Academy of Arts Collection, London and Walker Art Gallery Collection, Liverpool.
