Irish-born, Egyptian artist Rafik Greiss grew up in Cairo and moved to the UK for high school before moving to New York City, where he received his BFA Double Major in Photography and Imaging and Art History from NYU in 2020. He currently lives and works in Paris.
Attracted to possessions and what people throw away, Greiss’ practice encompasses photography- often as a series – and sculptures made mostly from found objects. His work reflects on modern living and navigating the chaos of a metropolis. His work has been shown in the Louvre and various galleries worldwide.
